Yellowstone Falls Canyon View

My beloved Yellowstone National Park is the inspiration for this oil painting. The Yellowstone River cascades over Yellowstone Falls creating the great white froth of the river surging through the canyon. Notice the soft glow of sunlight bathing the distant hills, the deep earth browns, reds, purples of the foreground canyon walls and the subtle golds of the hills which are dotted with the deep rich evergreen conifer trees.
